- Hiking Boots
- Flip flops, if desired
- Several changes of socks (wet feet stink and are uncomfortable!)
- Ditto underwear
- Bathing suit (the lake water is fine to swim in, but the lake bottom is mud – we lost a flip flop in there!)
- Light, sweat-wicking/workout clothes (cotton absorbs sweat and then becomes heavy, smelly and uncomfortable)
- A hoodie and/or blanket, as it may get chilly at night
- A towel
- A tent
- A sleeping bag/blanket/pillow to sleep on (the ground has lots of twigs and rocks, and is uneven in some places)
- A tarp or garbage bag to put down under your tent to keep it dry, and the bugs out
- Extra garbage bags for your trash
- Ziplock bags, to keep stuff from getting wet
- Fishing equipment, if you want
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- First-Aid kit (bandages, disinfectant and neosporin should suffice)
- Any allergy medications
- Toilet Paper
- Sanitary wipes
- Hatchet/small ax
- Flashlight and/or small lantern or headlamp
- Leatherman or other utility knife
